A friend of mine
emailed me over the weekend to say both his family cars will be MoT fails next
time round due to suspension damage on front of each. Why? Potholes. “The MoT
guy, who did our Focus yesterday, said he’s getting a dozen a week being tested
with damaged suspension, and it’s all from potholes. We are looking at £1,000
total by the time we have sorted both cars out.” The state of UK roads is a
scandal. It’s no wonder the High Street economy is so sluggish when people are
having spend serious money on fixing their cars for damage which isn’t their
fault. Writing this from a Geneva hotel room as Tuesday as motor show press day. So much to see - check back later in the week for my thoughts on all the new metal.
